Mr. Slater serves as a quantitative specialist for Montague DeRose and Associates. He joined Montague DeRose and Associates in 2005, bringing nine years of quantitative public finance experience. Mr. Slater's various responsibilities include quantitative and account support, bond sizing, development and maintenance of issuer debt profiles and financial modeling. Previously, he worked for the Texas Water Development Board ("TWDB") where he served as an investment analyst and portfolio manager. Mr. Slater was in charge of managing a portfolio containing $4 billion of loan assets and $4 billion of matching debt liabilities, structuring and pricing bond issues, performing quarterly cash flow analysis, and developing spreadsheet template systems used by all financial analysts at the TWDB. In addition, he assisted in the development and implementation of the TWDB's financial database.
Before the TWDB, Mr. Slater worked at Deloitte & Touche L.L.P. as a financial analyst. He verified the cash flows of various types of municipal bond refundings and developed software to verify single-family and lease-to-own housing transactions.
Mr. Slater received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston.
